Laurel Bluff Trail starts on the east side of Lake Brandt Road, approximately one-quarter mile north of the Lake Brandt Marina, south of the Lake Brandt spillway. Ample parking is available. The trail can also be accessed from Church Street, as there is a small gravel parking lot across Church Street and south of the Crockett Trail entrance.

It’s managed by the Missouri Department of Natural Resources as part of Onondaga Cave State Park. A 1.25 mile loop trail passes near the bluff, but DOES NOT provide views of the cliffs. At over 200 feet, Vilander Bluff… No obstacles. Flat. Some uneven terrain.

Just like its name states, Onondaga Caves State Park is predominately known for its caves Vilander Bluffs with ancient Juniperus virginiana cedars The Vilander Bluff Natural Area is a unit of the state park that is located at 38°05′56″N 91°08′20″W, 7 miles (11 km) northeast of the main body of the park. The 470-acre Meramec Farm is located on a bend of the beautiful, spring-fed Meramec River. It's truly a setting for all seasons--meadows graced with wildflowers in the spring, summer respites in cool caves within the towering Vilander bluffs, wooded hillsides splashed with autumn's red, orange and gold, and winter's intimate stillness after a snowfall. Visitors can take guided tours to explore the underground wonderland, and above ground, the park’s Vilander Bluff Natural Area offers scenic views of the Meramec River, as well as easy access to the water for activities like fishing and canoeing.

This is part of Onondaga Cave State Park, but is in a separate area from the main park. At over 20,000 acres, Palmetto Bluff is an outdoor paradise just waiting to be explored. This trail follows the top of the Bluffs cliff edge over a large area of slick rock, rock chutes and rooted trail. The Bluff Trail is south of Highway 103 where it crosses the Chebucto Peninsula just west of K’jipuktuk (Halifax), Nova Scotia. It begins inside the Woodens River watershed and climbs onto the high ground (“The Bluff” ) between the Woodens River watershed and the Nine Mile River watershed to the east. If you explore some of the side trails that lead off the Bluff Trail, you could be looking at a total length of 5 miles or so. This trail follows the top of the Bluffs cliff edge over a large area of slick rock, rock chutes and rooted trail. The Bluff Trail is south of Highway 103 where it crosses the Chebucto Peninsula just west of K’jipuktuk (Halifax), Nova Scotia.

The trail is a 1.25 mile loop in good condition with some hills. This trail winds through different types of forest, over switchbacks, and up stone steps, leading hikers to views of Island Pond, Burke Mountain, East Mountain, and a number of smaller mountains. Some of our members first time here. The Te Araroa Trust, which has been working on a 3000km-long Cape At the junction with the Bynum Bluff Trail, assuming I was still on schedule, I'd follow the side path downhill once again to the Linville River beneath the towering cliffs of Bynum Bluff itself. From there I'd make the demanding climb out from the gorge via the Bynum Bluff Trail, climbing 800'+, back to the road which I'd use to complete the loop back to the Cabin Trail.
